Welcome to Bjorn Cakes, my name is Kort Linden, owner & head baker.

We are the only bakery in Chicago serving cakes made with organic eggs and butter, and hand made super premium fillings that will make your guests want to take the whole cake home.  Unlike many other wedding and speciality cake companies, we never outsource delivery.

Bjorn is a Swedish word meaning bear.  It is a reflection of both my Swedish heritage and the rarity of my cakes.  I am proud to call Chicago home like ancestors before me.

I have been an artist and an artful baker for as long as I can remember.  I love creating things with my hands more than almost anything in life. I was a craftsman of reclaimed wood furniture until moving to Chicago.  Since then, I have been pursuing my life long dream of making people happy with food.  I have been refining my culinary and sugar craft skills and building my team of artists.  

 

Whether its a birthday cake or a wedding cake, I treat each cake as if it were for my special day, and you can rest assured knowing that from start to finish your cake was created with exactitude and finesse.

From concept to manifestation, we believe we are making more than just cake.  Instead, we are crafting your vision, for your day.  Clean lines and jaw dropping design are a given, but its the extra heart we put into our cakes that help make your event or wedding uniquely yours.
